We all know that memory techniques are already existing, years before we knew it was, we always come to the conclusion that understanding the memory capabilities of us human beings are complicated and unfathomable. Memory is one of the most valuable factors in the knowledge of human beings. Being able to use our memory capabilities to the max is essential. We all know that memory is no intelligence, but instead, it is the mind’s capability to store and recall information through different means. The best memory techniques could enhance these capabilities and enhancing it means improving your own capabilities as well for we base our actions on what we know, and what we know is stored in our memories.

The best memory techniques functions as exercise to enhance your limited capacity. It doesn’t expand your storage but improves the functions that go along with it. But with these said, the primary step in enhancing your memory understands how it works so that we would know which area needs attention and improvement. Constantly looking for ways to improve your memory is a good thing. As you age, your memory becomes bleaker and that’s the last thing that you would want. That is why; it is a good practice to exercise your memory. Here are some of the best memory techniques:

  1. Physical exercise – just because it’s a memory enhancing technique that we are talking about right here, it doesn’t mean that the physical properties are neglected. Matter of fact, physical exercise and fitness is a big factor that affects your memory and your brain as well. A healthy body would lead to a healthy mind. Physical exercises promote proper blood circulation not only to the body but to the brain as well which then leads to an enhanced memorization and recall process.
  2. Association – whenever you are learning something unique or new, associate or tie it up with familiar things or things that you already know and you are familiar with, say for example; if you want to memorize the word Thespian try tying it up with the word Piano. Piano works for me because I’m a musician. The words would vary from person to person.
  3. Determining the time you learn best – this is one of the best memory techniques that we know of. Try and determine which part of the day that you are most responsive and when is it easier to memorize for you. Also, you could also determine which surroundings or environment you would function and memorize well.

There are other memory techniques that also exist which would effectively boost your memory performance. Just remember, memory is like steel, if you don’t use it or if you don’t oil it and use it often, it would rust, and rusting would lead to malfunction or deterioration. The same goes for your memory. If you don’t exercise it, the duller it gets. The best thing that you could do is to find time to enhance and exercise your memory.
